Owl Barn Retreat offers stunning self catering accommodation set on the very edge of the Tanat Valley in glorious Mid Wales.We enjoy a stunning rural location surrounded by the Berwyn Mountains, rolling fields and wildlife. With its beauty changing season after season Llanrhaeadr is a favourite self catering holiday spot for many visitors.

Llanrhaeadr ym Mochnant is a quaint village set in the heart of the Tanat Valley Mid Wales. It is home to Pistyll Rhaeadr, the largest waterfall in Wales and the UK’s tallest single drop waterfall at 240ft (80m) high. Our self catering accommodation is hidden away in an enchanting area in the Berwyn Mountains and many walkers return year after year to visit the waterfall.

Within a 20 minute drive of Owl Barn Retreat is Lake Vyrnwy, the wonderful RSPB Reserve, which is a beautiful area to walk around, cycle, or hike in the surrounding hills. 30 minutes from our Self Catering haven is Bala Lake, which is a prime spot for watersports including sailing and kayaking.

The Snowdonia National Park is a stunning 60 minute drive from Owl Barn Retreat and after a day hiking in the the Welsh hills you can return to your eco friendly and cosy self catering barn to relax, rewind and reboot.
